December 2007 Pack Newsletter
Leadership:
Any questions about the Pack can be directed to the Cubmaster, Jim Mayer (695-4873)
or to the Committee Chairman, Stu Breslin (852-2405).
Upcoming Pack Meetings:
While Pack meetings are usually the 3rd Tuesday of each month the January Pack meeting is
going to be our annual Pinewood Derby! It will officially be on Sunday, January 27th from
12:30 to 4:30 PM in the Cardinal Elementary Gym. See additional details below.
Important Pack Dates to Remember:
- Popcorn money from sales or the buy-out is due to your Den Leader.
- A little Fire Safety is available. The Brownsburg Fire Department is requesting help from
some Scouts on January 12th. Scouts will go with the firefighters to check houses for
smoke detectors. Scouts need to be at the Fire Headquarters on Northfield Dr. East (near
Bill Estes Ford) at 8:45 AM. One or more Scouts can go with a firefighter but at least one
Scouting adult must join the firefighter (this is called two deep coverage). Contact your
Den Leader for more information or jharder@brownsburgfire.org.
- Pinewood Derby is January 27th.
- Check-in will be Saturday, January 26th from 11 - 1 PM in the Cardinal Elementary entry.
Cars will go through tech inspection and be impounded for the night.
- Racing will be Sunday afternoon, January 27th from 12:30 - 4:30 PM, in
the Cardinal Elementary Gym.

- Webelos Cave trip is February 1st and 2nd. This is only open to Webelos.
- Blue and Gold, our Webelos Cross-Over, will be the February Pack meeting.
This will be a longer pack meeting since it includes dinner and a formal ceremony to
usher our Webelos 2's into Boy Scouting.
District Dates to Remember:
- Monster Truck Jam is January 26th at the RCA Dome. See the
Circuit
of Fun page for more info.
- Scout Day at the Murat Shrine Circus is March 1st. It begins at 10 AM in the Pepsi
Coliseum at the Indiana State Fair Grounds. A free breakfast with some of the performers
is available at 8:30 but you must register by February 15th. Click on the Crossroads website
