All the boys want to get their advancements. We as parents are the pack leadership. This program for our boys is as good as we make it. So let's make this the most rewarding and fun experience we can for them.

   It is very important to us at Pack 396 that all of our scouts earn their rank advancement badges. Some of this work is done at den meetings, but most of this is geared to activities that the scouts do with family, at school or with friends.

  Each program is well outlined in your son’s book. Please check these books to be sure you understand the requirements and to update the checklists provided in the books as your son satisfies these requirements. If you have any specific questions, ask your den leaders or any pack leader.

   If a scout fails to earn his current rank badge, he may still advance to the next rank with his den, but will not be able to go back and earn the missing badge. This must be done by the May pack meeting each year.

   Ultimately, it is up to you parents to see that your son completes the achievements necessary to earn his rank badge.
